QUOTE
A change of feeling is a change of destiny. All creation occurs in the domain of the subconscious...the subconscious is the womb of creation.
About two years ago, a friend of mine moved away. As a parting gesture, he handed me a thin white book called Feeling is the Secret. I kept reminding myself to read it but didn't. It just laid on my bookshelf for a long time, silently nagging me when I'd walk by or peruse the shelf for other books. I'm glad I finally caved.
Goddard argues that Consciousness is reality and it is composed of two halves, male (conscious) and female (subconscious). The play of these two lovers generates your world which is "conditioned consciousness objectified."
Goddard's point: the conscious half of our mind responsible for thinking impresses ideas and feelings onto the subconscious half and, in turn, the subconscious converts those feelings into reality.
The "virginal" womb of the world, the subconscious, awaits impression from your conscious mind by way of your ideas and feelings. Feeling, though, "is the one and only medium through which ideas are conveyed to the subconscious." She faithfully transubstantiates these feelings into hard image, which is what we call reality.
If you feel chaotic, your plans and intentions will disintegrate in your hands. If you feel competent, the challenges of your profession will surrender themselves to you. If you feel rich, opportunities for wealth will fall into your lap. If you feel resentful, you will be given a world worth resenting.
The subconscious projects our feeling-states into the external world, converting its quanta, that "Cloud of Unknowing," into the image and likeness of that feeling-state.

Meditation, prayer, and sleep are the bridges into the subconscious.
To "think feelingly on any state," Goddard says, is to make an impression on the subconscious. She willingly receives the impression and then pours the alchemical ingredients of reality into that form. The ingredients mix to become the conditions and events (the children) of your life. Your intention + Her form = Your Children.
Goddard warns though that the subconscious is like a wife. She does not respond well to compulsions from a tyrant. She must be persuaded with feelings, not commands. Feelings are preeminent. Unlike words or ideas, they circumvent all confrontation and debate. You don't argue with being angry, you're just mad. You don't ponder being joyful, you're just happy.
Goddard hands us a difficult pill to swallow: "Chance or accident is not responsible for the things that happen to you, nor is predestined fate the author of your fortune or misfortune. Your subconscious impressions determine the conditions of your world."
It's you. Always has been. You did this.
QUESTION
Think right now of something you want. What would be the feeling if already had it?
Cheers,
